A quick heads up - pattern club is growing (very slowly) as an international network of local groups of people curious about heritage and contemporary patterns-as-algorithms. We thought it would be nice then to rename this forum to Pattern Club forum, where we can share ideas and thoughts about pattern club activities as well as other patterny miscellania!
At some point then, this forum will move to a new domain (probably forum.patternclub.org), which will be somewhat integrated with the pattern club chat server (drop me a note if you’d like to join that!). I don’t think this will affect many users, but if you follow this forum on the fediverse (e.g. mastodon), you will have to re-follow the forum categories on the new domain.
Another issue - unfortunately it is becoming increasingly difficult to run forums on the open web, due to the amount of scraping from AI bots, etc. We may therefore need to make at least some parts visible for logged-in users only, and put new users into ‘quarantine’ for longer.
